LAKSAMANA HANG TUAH.

The legendary Hang Tuah, the hero of Malaysia, is introduced warmly in this beautifully illustrated story book. Suitable to be read to the toddlers or kindergarten children, the older ones can also read it independently. There is also information on Melaka, the state where Hang Tuah hailed, vocabulary for the independent or emergent readers and simple guideline questions for teachers to use after finish reading this book to a class.

This is the most suitable book in the Malaysian market now, to introduce simple history and the story of a legendary hero to young children. All the characters wear traditional costume, accompanied with very kampung (village) like settings and the one image that attracts me most is the very realistic high kick to the face of the amok man by Hang Tuah, which can be seen on the cover page. Can you hear that 'duuushhhhh'?

Pendapat ini dipetik dari Pagan Races of the Malay Peninsula, Macmillan, London 1906 karangan Skeat, W.William and C.O. Blagden.

Menurut Yayan Indriatmoko (2003), Hang Tuah berketurunan Orang Laut.
