Puteri Gunung Ledang is still believed to reside in the deepest and highest peak of Gunung Ledang located in North Johor, the southern state of Malaysia. Her beauty captivated the heart of Sultan Mahmud Shah a long time ago, and the powerful princess threw a few tasks for him to fulfill. One of the tasks was a test to see whether the sultan will fall for lust or parental love.

Jee/Fee Buyong 's graphical interpretation of the story is once again comprehensive and mirrors the traditional or historical way of life in the kampung (village) during the 15th century.
