The day before we left to return to Malaysia, I had a fantastic time cooking at Hari's place, nothing extravaganza, simple but enjoyable. I also shared her passsion and interest in cooking.
She also asked me about how I am going to celebrate Krsna Janmastami, which is Lord Krsna's birthday, and if I'm not mistaken on the first week of September. I replied honestly that I never celebrated that auspicious occasion. She actually celebrated that event with her aunt in Malaysia. Her aunt will cook some items and invite guests to the house to celebrate the birthday, like having a birthday party in the house. And Hari will be doing the same this year too, in fact she does it every year. Right, Hari? If you are reading this, can u post a short comment so that I receive a gentle touch from another friend aboard.
In addition, I was also inspired to celebrate Janmastami this year, at the minutest scale possible. Start small and grow big lah! I also need to search for any Krsna devotee groups participating in any pilgrimage tour this year to India, preferably North, that's where I would like to start. I as advised to googled for Singapore and Johor's iSKCON house function.
