My Third Class

We were given a half-hour group project to do in the classroom today. Dr. Goh gave each group a section of The Star newspaper, chose a news and approached the article in two related but different ways: a) use the 6 different perspectives of psychology to probe the article, and b) discuss the 4 goals of a psychologist would want to achieve through this article.

I must say I enjoyed being the leader of the group, jotting down ideas and facilitating my friends. It was a well needed session as we can practise the above lesson which were only bits pieces of words on paper previously. Can be a little bit boring sometimes right, if you don’t practice the things you learn?

After that, he lectured us on the ethical notes on being a psychologist, on how psychology as a serious science research and contributor to society, the principles and values we should uphold as a psychologist.

No class tomorrow. Must sign up for tutorial group today. Also planning to attend Child Development class on Thursday morning, just to see how informative the lesson is, though it’s not part of my course subject.
