petty petty mesage

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. For the very first time, Thaipusam is declared as a public holiday in Malaysia for all the states, including Wilayah Persekutuan. Hence, Wednesday is a holiday and I’m stuck with another day of I don’t know what to do.

Classes are getting more interesting with Dr Goh as he gave real and hands-on techniques in designing a controlled experiment. Next week, more exciting things about the brain anatomy is about to be revealed.

It is certainly not easy to keep a personal blog if you don’t have a very adventurous or active life. And I certainly need my own space like a home to get a beautiful flow of inspiration, which is hard to achieved from where I am writing now, in my hostel.

The same questions have been haunting my life for several times, either channeled through other people or sprouted from my very own self: Am I doing the right thing now, at this age and time? Shouldn’t I be earning money to support myself and my husband? Shouldn’t I be concentrating on having a child and educating him or her? Shouldn’t I be focusing on building a home, getting a better car and enrich myself with wealth and comfort at this stage of life?

What is my purpose in this life? Do I have a call? What is my objective? What will my future be?

Sri and I are in dire need of a holiday. A break far away from friends and relatives and families, which is what we do every year for three to four times. How are we going to do that here? I don’t know. Where can we go? Asia region as in Japan, Korea, Bali and Thailand perhaps.

I met this young chap in my class and today while having lunch he asked me about my purpose of doing the psychology course and doing the odd things in life, just like the one I mentioned above on ‘my call in life’?
He has an aunt of 35 years old who just finished her MBA and recently shifted to a new house. I am thinking of asking him to introduce her to my koko. From what he said about her, she seemed to be a nice person, involved in social work, upgrading herself through education and is a mentor to him, in which he highly respects and admire her personality. Maybe I’ll ask him the question next time I see him.

  1. I guess that's a move in the right directions. Shows that the Malaysian Govt. does care about the other ethnic groups. I hope you are not complaining that there are too many holidays ;-)

  2. not complaining at all. but isn't it the 'perfect' time to choose a date for a holiday and even at a last minute notice too?
