Charlie Brown,

I guess this is the time to let the main character of PEANUTS out from the closet, or rather from the comic book. His name is Charlie Brown. To me , he is "bald with one or two hair, has a friendly smile which can sometimes turn into a frown or groovy, sulky whine, wears the typical shirt with bolded zigzag at the centre. He has a very low self-esteem most of the time, like girls, trying his darnedest to excel in baseball, loves his pet dog very much, respects his teachers and friends and always encourages others to be positive without being a good role-model in that sense."

What else about him? Charlie was named after a co-worker at Mr. Schulz's teaching place. However, Charlies' traits were actually the resemblance of Mr. Schulz himself. Both were shy and withdrawn. So, I guess all artistic people like writers, painters, curators and cartoonists create another world for themselves, sometimes they are exactly the same as the character, at other times they change the character a little bit to be something or somebody they wish they can be.
Charlie's dad is a barber and his mum is a housewife, and he has a pet dog. Mr. Schulz's dog was a pointer; Charlies's pet is a beagle. Mr. Schulz was dedicated to the world of ice hockey but I can't see how does baseball fit into the world of Charlie Brown. Why didn't Mr. Schulz make Charlie play ice hockey rather than baseball? Or was baseball never Mr. Schulz's cup of tea?

Hmmm...when will I ever get my HP Recovery disk burnt?
