What exactly is a RSS Feed? RSS = Really Simple Syndication.
What does it do? RSS provides updates of entries on a blog, in the form of posts entries, audio, video or news headlines.
Google Reader allows readers to subscribe to their favourite blog by clicking on the address box.

Now why do we really need to subscribe to RSS feed:
1) Image speaks out loud and clear, so it's rather important that you see how your own blog looks like from the readers point of view.
2) To make sure the feed is working properly.
3) Review your own posts without actually visiting your own blog.
4) Check timing to see how frequent the feeder updates your entries, as another reader pick up and read your post.
5) BACKUP!!!! This is the highlight, the mother of all the other importance. And this is one clear reason why I'm subscribing to Google Reader today.
