During my childhood years, I entered numerous competitions
on public speaking, story telling and debate. As I grow older, I was also
chosen to chair a function or become emcee for conferences and graduation
events. And I must confess that the most wonderful part of doing all these,
despite sometimes doing it in account of following orders or as a big favour
for some acquaintances, I actually love to welcome, entertain and broadcast knowledge
to the audience.
So, the next thing that I want to be is ----a Radio Deejay
cum Emcee cum Chairperson. Well, probably I should focus on one first, yes the
first one, a radio deejay, for a local or syndicated radio network targeting
children. The first radio station to accommodate children’s interests and
needs, and of course any adults young at heart. Remember ‘Kids Say The Darndest
Things’ with host Bill Cosby and the rest of the beautiful kids from America?
A similar show but with a taste of Malaysian’s radio scene would be a great way
to kick off a programme just for children.
So, what is the first step that I need to do to get myself
dabbling in the radio broadcasting industry?...
